DeliveryQC (“the Service”) is a free, in-browser audio quality-control tool operated by MeterPlugs Audio Inc., based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (“MeterPlugs”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what we do — and don't — collect when you use it.

Your audio never leaves your browser

All audio analysis runs locally in your browser. The audio files you open, their contents, and their filenames are processed entirely on your own device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us or anyone else.

What we collect

We collect personal data only in these limited cases:

• Feedback you submit. If you use the “Rate this tool” form, we store the star rating, the comment you write, the delivery spec you had selected, and the date and time. Please don't include personal or confidential information in your comment.
• Anti-spam and technical data. When you submit feedback we also store your browser's user-agent string. To limit spam and abuse we additionally derive a short-lived value from a truncated form of your network address — enough to identify a network, not a person. It is held separately from your feedback and from our usage statistics, is never stored alongside either, changes daily, and is discarded once it has served its purpose (within minutes for feedback, within an hour for analyses; expired values are cleared the next time anyone submits feedback or runs an analysis). Neither your feedback nor our statistics can be linked to you or grouped together by submitter.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server may automatically record standard request information — including IP address and user-agent — for security, diagnostics, and operation.

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying details to use the Service.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how the Service is used and to measure our advertising. These set cookies and collect standard usage data — such as pages viewed, the actions you take (for example, running an analysis, along with the channel layout and target spec you selected), and general device and approximate-location information. They do not receive your audio or filenames.

For visitors in the EU and UK, these tools load only after you accept them in our cookie banner; if you decline, they are not loaded. Elsewhere they load by default, and you can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out or your browser and ad-preference settings. Anonymous usage statistics

Each time you run an analysis, we record a set of anonymous, aggregate measurement statistics on our own server: the loudness, true-peak, loudness-range and duration values, the channel layout, the delivery spec you selected, and the pass/fail result. This is not linked to you — no IP address, cookies, or identifiers are stored with it, and there is no way for us to group these records by user or to see one customer's activity over time. It is never shared. It only helps us understand how the tool is used and where to improve it. Your audio and filenames are never included. (The short-lived, separate value described under “Anti-spam and technical data” above is used only to rate-limit requests and never forms part of these records.)

How we use this information

• Feedback is used to understand how the Service is working and to improve it.
• Anti-spam data is used only to prevent abuse of the feedback form.
• Server logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the Service running.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Dolby Dialogue Intelligence

Dialog-gated loudness is measured using Dolby Dialogue Intelligence, which runs locally in your browser. No audio or measurement data is sent to Dolby or any third party as part of this process.

Service providers

The Service is hosted by a third-party web hosting provider that processes server logs on our behalf to deliver the site. We do not otherwise share feedback data with third parties.

Where your data is processed

MeterPlugs is based in Canada. The limited information described above may be processed in Canada or in other countries where our hosting provider operates. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be processed in a country whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live.

Data retention

Feedback is retained for as long as it is useful for improving the Service. Server logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard practices. You may ask us to delete feedback you have submitted (see below).

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To make a request, or to ask a privacy question, contact us at contact@meterplugs.com.

Children

The Service is a professional tool and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
